home sweet home

I'm back! Montreal was great, but I was definitely looking forward to coming home. The hotel bed was ok, but it wasn't MY bed. I'm back for one week of 'local' travel and then out west. I realize after this week that I might have to break down and pack a second suitcase. I really wanted to try to go with one and my carry-on, but a month away, I will need a bit more - especially non-work clothes. Hmpf.

I'm dead tired. I was up this morning at 4:30 to catch my early flight. I had to have a nap this afternoon just to make it through tonight. Getting up, my body feels like jello.

Got myself a little date tomorrow afternoon....I'll keep you posted on how it turns out. heh...hopefully better than the last one I reported....or equally humorous for me to experience and share to all of you :)

updates!

Here we go......
  • travel season has started. I've been to Ottawa (sorry I didn't get a chance to meet with you girls while I was there), TO and the KW region. Almost half way there!
  • I depart for Montreal tomorrow evening where I'll be for a week. I'm excited to go back. I'm already planning my Wednesday night shopping spree :)
  • I had my wisdom teeth removed on Wednesday. The swelling is going down, but Thursday and Friday had me sporting the Cabbage Patch Kid look. It was so very attractive. I've been on a liquid/soft diet. I feel a bit like I'm an old lady.
  • I've lost 6 lbs as a result of above diet
  • November 1st I head out west where I'll be gone until the 28th. Definitely a long stint to be away from home, living out of a suitcase and wearing the same outfits. I'm looking forward ot the trip though.
  • Went on a date a couple of weekends ago with a guy I knew in high school. I realize now that the reason I had a big crush on him was because we never actually had a conversation. He was a cucumber (term for guys who just sit there and don't talk). It was like pulling teeth. He must have thought I was a total chatterbox, but the silence was incredibly uncomfortable. Ah well. It's a question answered. lol This story is told much better in person because there's the straw/camel part that is best acted out by me.
  • I hope to blog a bit more while I'm away since I won't be busy with life things here...I can enjoy my evenings.

Keep you all posted!
