4 more sleeps...

....until I go home. I'm so ready. The weekend here pretty much wrapped things up for me. I'm now feeling the effects of being away for several weeks. I miss my apartment, my bed, Ontario time! I'm ready to go home and do closer regions. I spent the weekend here in Vancouver and when people talk about beautiful BC, they can't be referring to Vancouver! It's pretty ghetto! And the nice parts remind me of downtown Toronto. Nothing new. Yes, I admit the mountains in the background are nice to see, IF I CAN?!!?!? It's been raining since I arrived. I have to admit Victoria has been my favourite stop so far.

In Vancouver!

I've moved on to Vancouver from Victoria. The few days in Vic were just amazing! Beautiful mountain drives...just breath-taking. Now I'm in Vancouver and so far it looks a lot like Toronto but with mountains in the background. I've settled in for the long haul on this one. I'll be here for over a week now. My hotel room is divine! I'm so excited I've got the longer stay here than my last hotel. I've been taking lots of pics and will post them when I get back to Ontario. I never thought to install the kodak program on my laptop...I also didn't think to bring my camera cable with me. You'll have to wait!

In BC!

Hey there! Work has brought me out to the west. I'm currently in Victoria, BC enjoying the beautiful scenery. I have never been out here before and I'm loving it so far! I'm in a harbourside hotel so my view of the marina is just amazing.

new shoes!

Yay for new shoes! I stand a lot for work, giving presentations and my old standards have had their run. It was time for a new pair. Well, I bought 2! Nice shoes and a pair of boots. Gotta love BOGO.

CELEBRATION!!!!!

I just got a full-time PERMANENT position at my job!!! I'm so excited. No more contracts! Lots of benefits! A raise! So happy *BIG GRIN*

I didn't want to say anything about the process before I knew whether I'd get the job or not. I remember the days of having lots of interviews and no bites and I wasn't interested in jinxing it. yay!
